SimpleTalk BLE is a FileMaker plugin that provides Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) functionality in a simple and robust manner. You can connect any BLE device, such as RFID reader, barcode scanner, smartwatch, health monitor, Bluetooth tracker or a different mobile phone or computer with this plug-in. With Simple Talk BLE, your FileMaker solution can act as either central device, peripheral, or both. The plug-in comes with an encryption an authorization system that allows for level 3 GAT security.
This plug-in is currently available on iOS (for iPhone or iPad) and macOS platforms.

FileMaker Pro permissions prohibit using Bluetooth directly from a plug-in. To circumvent this issue, our BLE plug-in comes with a separate helper app that manages bluetooth services. This helper app setups a local http service that communicates with FileMaker. This works even without internet connection.

SBLE.fmplugin.framework.Building an iOS app from a FileMaker solution is made significantly easier with our XGode web service. Simply drag-and-drop you solution file and click on SBLE plug-in in the menu. You can supply additional data, such as an icon for you app or load additional frameworks. The XGode will then handle the complicated process of building the app fo you. Note that XGode is licensed separately from this product.
To learn how to use this plug-in, it is recommended to open one of the examples from the Examples folder. Consult plugin documentation for more information. If you are new to FileMaker plug-ins, start by checking the UsingFMPlugIns.html file inside the Documentation folder. It briefly explains what plug-ins are, why they are useful, and how they are usually used
Please note that Simple Talk BLE is shareware. That means it is not free and you have to pay a license fee if you want to keep it. You can install this plug-in and try it out for the period of 14 days. After this period, Simple Talk BLE can stop working and require a registration code. You will get your registration code after you pay for your license.
You can freely distribute Simple Talk BLE as long as you distribute the original compacted archive untouched and you don’t charge money for the distribution. If you want to distribute Simple Talk BLE on a physical medium, such as flash disk, or if you want to distribute it in other form than the original compacted archive, you must ask for our permission. If you are a solution developer and want to bundle Simple Talk BLE with your products, please contact 24U Software.
